A surprise wedding? Yep! You read that correctly! These breathtaking nuptials originally started as a stylized photo shoot which turned into a secret wedding organized by the groom and the wonderful team of professionals. Some exciting plans are underway for the Open House & Tasting Party at Victoria Belle Mansion. It's going to be a wonderful day to tour the house and grounds, taste some delicious food from Making Memories Catering and trying some decadent cake from Blooming Flour Bakery. Of course we will be on hand with some of our floral designs.

I am so excited to finally be able to share some of the pictures from our bridal show a few weeks back. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing team with equally amazing vendors. Everyone is so awesome at what they do!

I just wanted to pop in and share some awesome professional photos from Renea & Elliott's wedding at Dunaway Gardens this past May. All of these wonderful images were captured by Jeremy from Harwell Photography. Wedding coordination was by Corrie Kirk and her team at Signature Weddings & Events who is also a member of The Big Event Team. The band was Blair Crimmins and the Hookers. Upcoming Bridal Show with The Big Event Team!

We are excited to announce that The Big Event Team will be hosting our fall show on November 6th at the beautiful Vinewood Events!

Vinewood is located just south of Atlanta in Newnan and is situated on 10 acres of lush grounds. The home was originally built in the 1830's and so much of the original architecture and design has been preserved. It is a private estate, thus it reflects an intimate experience for each bride and guest alike, making you feel right at home.

The property features beautifully restored stables with hand crafted farm tables, amazingly lush trees to wed beneath and cozy spots such as a fire pit for s'mores to be roasted. Vinewood offers so much, to be seen, that each person really must visit to see it in full glory.

The Big Event Team is very excited to showcase each of our vendors amazing work at this gorgeous location on November 6th, 2011. More information about the fall event will be coming soon. Ever since she was a little girl, Robin always knew she wanted to get married in the spring when everything was fresh and in bloom. That dream for a spring wedding influenced several of the details for their intimate nuptials on a beautiful day in April. The color palette of dark pink, lime green and chocolate brown provided a bright and fresh backdrop for things to come. This wedding was filled with personal touches from the homemade organic peach preserve favors, the Bentely getaway car owned by the Father of the Groom to the custom glass cake topper made by Josh. Floral centerpieces featured tall cherry blossom branches and gerber daisies/wheat grass in boxes built by Josh. A touching moment in the ceremony was when one of Robin's bridesmaids wrapped them in a quilt made of fabric from the guests. In all, it was a special day filled with special touches! Congratulations Robin & Josh!

Meagan + Dave

Meagan was referred to me by my dear friend Robin. When I first met with her she had so many cool ideas to put her own stamp on their nuptials that I couldn’t wait to see everything tied together. One of my favorites (aside from the flowers of course!) were the hand typed invitations on an old typewriter. I bet you’re re-reading that saying “What?” Who still has a typewriter around? And, who has the time to hand type all the invites? Well, she did and they were so fabulous! Nothing sets the tone and gives the guests a glimpse of the wedding details to come like the invitation does.

The intimate ceremony and reception were both held at Sun In My Belly cafe. Deciding to buck tradition, Meagan and Dave took pictures together before the ceremony as well as mingled with guests before the ceremony started. Afterwards Meagan changed into her wedding dress to meet Dave under the chuppah held by family.

For flowers Meagan collected vintage coffee, tea and tobacco containers which we filled with mums, dahlias, craspedia, berries, scabiosa, thistle, amaranthus, safari sunset to name a few. For her bouquet, we tied everything together with burlap wrapping and accented it with an owl brooch that belonged to her Grandmother.
